Wedding Plans

I returned in February to make the final plans for the wedding in April. Once I got there Luis asked if I had all the papers ready which I did. Luis said he investigated and felt that we needed to get married at the Justices’ office in case something happened in April and all the wedding plans would be cancelled. Well I could not let that happen so he booked us an appointment and off we went.

I ran out to the street market and bought a black knit dress and had a pair of heels. OMG, I was not ready for this but okay let’s do this…

So the 5 of us jumped in the car and headed to the office. We filled out the paperwork, waited to be called into the office, everything was done in Spanish so no clue what was being said but guess what I GOT MARRIED - I don’t even remember the day because my real wedding was going to be with friends and family in April this was just a formality to be sure our day would happen…

I decided to make dinner for us all and began to cook making lasagna. I was a tornado in the kitchen and every burner was going. I asked where the pan was to bake and Sarah did not understand. Oh my there was no pan to bake in LOL. I was so distraught and Luis said be right back. In 30 minutes he came back to the kitchen with a home made pan to bake in. What a man - they loved the meal and it was a great week planning our April wedding where he was inviting 150 crazy Cubans - oh my!
