F… COVID

I couldn’t stand being isolated, bored, and caged up anymore so it’s time to roll…..

I am an Independent Furniture Rep covering the State of Florida and when the plan-demic hit my life came to a halt! The same thing happened on 9/11… Need I say more.

I decided to put my life in storage and hopped on my Harley July 18th for a 5-week road trip. My final destination would be Birch Bay, Washington to see a special friend, Kathy Heaverlo, one of my Biofeedback Mentors.

First stop was to see Bec and family in Dallas. I did 1,200 miles in 2 days arrived safe and sound.

At Bec’s house due to Covid everyone was home - kids in their bedrooms for school and Luis and Bec were both working from home so Aries, 4-legged above, and I hung at the pool/spa every day and evening to see the sunset. I checked on my furniture install we were on schedule so 5 days later time to hit the road and gave myself 4 days to make it to Washington…. I was up at 6 am and did not get off the bike until I hit exhaustion so I averaged about 650 miles a day. What a ride…

The above photos was my ride leaving Texas through Colorado, heading to Bethel, Washington to see Tiffany for a few days. I was hit with rain, I dumped my bike in the middle of the road and waited for 2 vans to stop and help me. I am always divinely guided due to always saying my prayer of protection whenever on the road. Stopped to get rain gear on and met another biker and babe, got to see a snake, quick cigar to de-stress, and hop back on the road. Last gas stop had to have a hot fudge sundae well deserved! Life on 2-wheels never a dull moment…

Made it to Bethel, Washington to see my pal Tiffany. We had been talking on zoom for a year and once I decided to end up in Blaine, Washington I had to stop and see her and family. Tiffany took me to her Shintu Temple and as she did her meditation I was able to enjoy the beautiful grounds reconnecting to mother nature after being plugged into my Harley for the last 5 days. Just what the doctor ordered. Due to Covid I was able to stay in a suite for $75 a night and pampered myself for a few days until I head to see another BFF house, Kathy Heaverlo, a friend I had promised to visit for 16 years. YEAH it’s never to late.

Kathy lives in Birch Bay on the water and walking around her neighborhood was spectacular. Kathy is the person who taught me how to do the bandanas and made 30 of them that week for her to sell at her local market while she made her designer masks. Thank You Kathy for inspiring me to use my creative abilities on a positive note to keep me from going crazy! Also visited Peace Arch which was filled with art, sculptures, and gorgeous flowers.

MY ROUTE FROM DALLAS, TEXAS

MY ROUTE FROM DALLAS, TEXAS

Pictures below is heading back to Dallas pedal to the medal as they say. I had 4 days to get back to do my furniture install in Trophy, Texas. Spent another 5 days with Bec and family then headed back to Florida missing many bad storms along the way. I truly believe in prayer because they were all answered coming back in hurricane season yikes.

Stopped at the Harley dealer finally to replace my shifter my hand was not happy with me taking that much abuse… UNTIL NEXT ADVENTURE ON 2-WHEELS
